1973 Triumph Other Description

Beautiful Italian Styling - Michelotti - on a Gentleman's Touring Sports Car! Unique "T-Top" design ahead of its time!
Envisioned as a luxurysports car, the Triumph Stag was designed to compete directly with theMercedes-Benz SLclass models. All Stags were four-seaterconvertiblecoupés, but for structural rigidity– and to meet new American rollover standards of the time– the Stag required aB-pillar"roll bar" hoop connected to the windscreen frame by a T-bar. A removablehardtopwas a popular factory option for the early Stags, and was later supplied as a standard fitment.
This car was owned by a University of Maryland Professor until late 80s! - see pictures and video for the entire story! Car was taken off the road and stored inside at a repair shop for many years. The original motor was lost. The car comes with 2 TR8 motors, one TR8 5 spd trans, Rebuilt Heads, Rebuilt Bottom End, Hard Top in Excellent Condition! The only major component missing is the intake manifold and carb. You will need to fabricate motor mounts or buy from Monarch Stag UK or similar. There are a few bins of misc parts, and ancillaries from the engine - and some NOS center caps for the nice original wheels.
