1963 Triumph TR4 Description

Up for sale is a 1963 Triumph TR4 with a Chevrolet small block 327 V8 engine and 4 speed Muncie manual transmission.I do restoration work on classic cars (mostly metal work and body/paint) and some times I take on projects in trade for payment. I received this car last year in trade and was going to put it back on the road as a little British Hot Rod. I have gotten too busy for big projects for myself so it has to go.The following is what I was told about the car, I have no way of backing any of it up and it really doesnt matter but people like back stories. My buddy who traded me the car got it from a machine shop in Lawndale where it had been sitting for years. The owner/ builder of the car had passed away and everything was being sold off by the family. The car was built back in the 1970s and hasnt been on the road for years. It was parked as a runner indoors as the owner wanted to concentrate on his business. At one time the owner was a Chief Engineer for Kas Kastner back in the Kastner-Brophey years. As far as condition, it is rust free and seems to be mostly original paint. It has remnants of a roll bar that is no longer there, the legs of which went through the floor and trunk to the frame. I have not tried to start the engine though it does turn. Condition of engine and trans is therefore unknown, but being Chevy easy and cheap to work on.It has a narrowed rear axle from a fifties Chevy and redrilled to the Triumph bolt pattern. I am providing new brake components as the shoes are missing in the drums. I also have Brand New master and slave cylinders for brakes and clutch. The car will need lots of restoration work (brakes, clutch, electric etc.)and maybe some re-engineering to certain systems. Will need a transmission tunnel fabricated.Car is not running and has to be towed.
I did NOT build this car and in fact havent done much at all excep, as I didnt receive it with wheels I have sourced a period correct set of Ansen slot mags and just mounted 500 bucks worth of brand new Falken tires this week. Not pictured but included are seat tracks, soft top frame, tonneau cover, old and in poor condition vinyl top, new set of black carpets, master cylinders, slave cylinder and hose.
I am selling this car with Bill of Sale only! AS-IS No Warranty, No returns, PROJECT Car Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE so ask questions first, come see it here in Riverside CA I have a lift in the yard.
