1966 Triumph Herald CONVERTIBLE Description

I bought this car with the intention of keeping it as our summer beach car at our home in Florida. While awaiting transport to Florid, the car I had been trying to buy for many years finally came up for sale and I purchased it. As nice as the Herald is, I don't have room for everything and will not be driving the Herald since the other car arrived. The Herald was purchased from the estate of the gentleman who was restoring it and had owned it for over 20 + years. 69000 miles showing on the odometer and believed to be original.

The frame and body and floors and trunk are solid metal with no rust. The engine and suspension and were rebuilt . The glass is all good. The convertible top mechanism and material is in wonderful shape and the top goes up and down very easily .

The car starts right up and runs well but will need final adjustments based on your climate. I have only driven it around the storage facility where it is stored but it runs and drives well for the time I have been in it.

A Fresh battery, drained and cleaned gas tan, a tune up and lubrication since I got the car is all I have done. . The body and paint was done about 20 years ago and the paint has some nicks and chips from long term storage with things bumping into it over the past 20 years years. I have ordered touch up paint and it is included with the sale when it arrives. There is no body damage other than the chips and the car is all metal.

The interior and top were redone and are nice and they cleaned up very easily, and the only parts not finished before the owner passed, was finishing the dashboard switches. The wood dash is new and the dash pad and steering wheel were also replaced and are in excellent condition. The guages are there and all work. It is just the few switches for wipers/washers, fan etc. that are not installed. There is no need for a choke cable or switch since the car was upgraded to a Weber carb with an automatic choke when the motor was rebuilt .

The windshield weatherstripping needs replacement but there is a new weatherstripping included in the trunk that I ordered along with extra new and used parts the estate provided with the car. The car is in Florida and can be seen or driven if you are interested. - no trades wanted, I don't have room for anything else or I would keep this car .

As this is a 52 year old used car, it is sold as is, where is, with no warranties.
