This auction is for my 1973 Triumph Stag. Automatic transmission, tilt/telescope wheel, working a/c, recent bushings & Michelins. Amazingly nice car, drives very well, and I drive it often.
A video of the car driving is available. Even the original clock runs!
I’ve driven '73 Stags off and on since about 1976, and I find this to be a very correct example of the breed in quite good shape. Very strong motor, good compression on all cylinders, good oil pressure, has never overheated even in our Florida summers. Spare tire under the trunk floor on original five spoke Triumph wheel.
When I acquired the Stag a few years ago the top/frame were off the car and still are; I’ve driven either with the hard top or without top. It is possible (perhaps even likely) that the top needs to be replaced, but I’ve never opened it up to see if it is serviceable or not. I have acquired from Rimmer Brothers all of the special bolts that I think are needed to reinstall it.
Comes with an extensive list of documentation, much from the prior owner, who reckons he spent above $30,000 to bring the car to this quality..
Clear title. Comes with many spare parts (including the top of the air filter box that is absent in the photos).
Price is as is at my driveway in Sarasota, FL. Please ask any questions!
