This 1960 Triumph TR3 is one of three TR3's that I currently own (also have aTR4 and a TR4a). I bought her in May 2016 in Northern California and took her home here to Southern California where she subsequently received a body-off refurbishment in British Racing Green over black. This last weekend she took Best in Class at English Motors at Fairbrook Farm, in Fallbrook CA.
Power is from a replacement 2.0-liter inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission with a rebuilt Laycock overdrive, and service carried out included work to the driveline, suspension, electrical system, exhaust, and more. This TR3 is supplied with a soft top and weather gear, previous service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean California title in my name.
The car was repainted from blue to its original British Racing Greenfollowing installation of a newbattery tray, floors, sills, and trunk floor from Moss Motors. For the paint, she had an epoxy sealer, hi-build primer, final primer after blocking and sanding, 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear then wet sanded and buffed.
The chrome hinges, fuel filler cap, and rear overriders were replaced and new stainless steel fender beading was installed during reassembly. There is a 1/2" touch up on the right front fender and awiper scratch on the windscreen glass.
Her painted 15″ wire wheels wear Nexen SB802 tires in size 165/80 that were fitted along with new knock-off spinners from Moss Motorsin April 2019.The black AMCO soft top is shown mounted and raised above, and a top boot cover is included in the sale.Matching door, trunk, and ignition locks using one key have been added.
The interior features seats and door panels trimmed in black vinyl with white piping, black carpeting, and a matching vinyl dashboard. Thetrunk is lined with a new Hardura mat.
