TR6 Triumph 1974
1974 Triumph TR-6 Description
Very nice driver quality TR6. Body off amateur restoration with lots and lots of new parts. Mileage (approximately 55.6K miles are believed to be original based on history and previous owner). Had been stored inside and not driven since 1991. No rust on body or frame. Both floors were replaced with british heritage as they were "soft". Frame was cleaned up and epoxy painted. Some of the new parts include: convertible top, carpets, seat belts, full clutch including hard parts (disc, pressure plate, bearing) and all hydraulics, gas lines, (gas tank was internally cleaned and sealed with a POR product), brake master cylinder and rubber lines, hoses, wires, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator (didn't trust the original), lots of the rubber seals and gaskets etc, etc... Paint is very nice driver quality (original color of Mimosa Yellow). Chrome is good with some minor pitting and cloudiness as expected for 40+ years - still shine pretty good though. Tires are old Michelin redlines - look good, hold air and maybe OK for around town, but should be replaced for highway type driving - I just like the looks of them on the car. Original aluminum wheel trim rings are in good shape and I have an extra or two that I will include. Everything works. A good convertible top boot (cover) will be included although not shown in pictures. Lots of time and money spent playing with this car. Photos should give a good indication at the extent of refurbishment. Being an old british car and the fact that it hasn't been driven much, it will likely require some tinkering - they all do. But, they are easy to work on, parts are readily available and are fairly reasonable. This should make someone a nice cruise night and trip to the ice cream store type car - you will certainly get a lot of looks and thumbs up.
