1976 Triumph TR-6 Description

1976 Triumph TR6 that was rescued from a father/son restoration that never happened. They got the car several years ago from original owner that was a neighbor. Original 56,000 miles with few miles since last inspection in 1987. Car starts easily but has engine knock when starting for a few seconds. We just replaced rod bearings, main bearings, new slave cylinder and rebuilt clutch master. Brakes bled and work fine as well as e-brake. Clutch works fine shifting and downshifting in all gears. Headlights, running lights and brake lights work fine. Front turn signals work but need to trouble shoot rear ones if I get time. Hazards, wipers and heater blower work too. All gauges seem to work fine including the dash lamps. Wood dash is excellent, dash top is good with small crack. Top bow is good and car comes with brand new black vinyl top with zip out window ready to install, list value is in excess of $500.00. The interior is really good with no rips or tears in the seats or panels. Car has original carpet with Triumph AMCO rubber mats. The frame is rust free as well as both floors as seen in the photos. Trunk is super clean and has original jack, lug wrench and jack handle. The rest of the body is rust free with the exception of the passenger side rocker that has a few holes as seen in one of the photos, but is solid underneath. Paint is ok for a driver needing buffed. The hood has paint flaking but no rust. Engine compartment is clean and unmolested and looks to be all original. The tires have flat spots and are hard and will need replaced. Car runs but shakes due to the bad tires and most likely needing a front end rebuild. I have only driven the car up and down the street and in the driveway slowly due to the shaking. I have a clear title ready to transfer. I try to describe all my items the best I can so there are no surprises. I can be reached at 814-931-0627 with questions. I will assist in shipping as long as all shipping arrangements are made well in advance. The car does not have a top so keep that in mind when planning shipping. The car is known for sale locally and I will end the auction if sold. This TR6 is really complete and a good example of an unmolested original. If you are looking for an easy project, or drive while restoring, this is it. Low reserve so bid away!!!!
