1977 Triump TR-7 Sports Car
1977 Triumph TR-7 Description
I am a 67 year old man and purchased this Triump TR-7 to fiddle with and work on. I had plans to take it to car shows when I was done with it. However because of recent health issues am not able to work on it. Thought this would be a nice hobby for myself but just can’t do it.This is solid car both outside and underneath. Paint is very nice and all decals are just like it came from the factory. The car has only 75,600 Original miles! . I wanted to make sure I had a solid car before I put any money and work in it.The car starts up and runs but sputters and won’t stay running unless you idle it at higher rpms. I thought it would be an easy fix...either carberator adjustments or new points or plugs. Just haven’t been able to do it since I really cant bend over which most of these jobs require.Other than that body is solid and only shows a blemish in the paint where a bungee strap rubbed against itwhile being transported which is minor and about 2" by 1". Most of everything else I noticed are simply cosmetic but all and all the car is in good solid condition and apparently well cared for over the last 43 years. Just to be clear, this is an originial car...Never repainted, re apolostered, original engine, matching numbers, and never restored. Difficult to find a car that has never been molested..and took me awhile to find this one. Transmission shifts as it should with good clutch. I have not had a chance to really look all systems over but everything looks good. A fuse maybe out since I noticed gas gauge and wipers don’t presently work, but lights work and go up and down concealed into the hood. Transmission shifts as it should and brakes operate as they should. A great solid 43 year old sports car which are difficult to find in this solid condition, low milage, and 100% original matching numbers! This is a very reasonable starting price. This is a No Reserve auction and highest bidder wins. a very reasonable price. I wish I did not have to sell it however my body is telling me otherwise. Do a little work and take it to car shows.
