1972 TRIUMPH GT6 4 Spd Stromberg Carbs Roll Cage LOW RESERVE - CLEAN CA Title
1972 Triumph GT6 Description
Offering this clean 1972 Triumph GT6 - Clear CA Title in my name. This car is about as nice as your going to find for a car that has not been restored. PROS:- The car starts right up and runs great. Engine is strong - appears to be original with engine code KF11941EU.- Engine bay clean. Hoses, wires, etc. all in clean working order. - Recent tune to include oil change, new oil filter, fuel filter.- New ignition key and functioning push button start(Very cool feature). - Nice period Stromberg Carbs- Very solid car. Has a few areas with some minor surface rusting. Front floors have been replaced. - Body is straight but does have denting on passenger front fender(Replacement piece will be included). - Gauges working to include(Odometer, Speedometer, Tachometer, Fuel, Temp gauge).- Lights work to include(Headlights, parking lights, Taillights, 1 license plate light, brakes, turn signals).- Brand new tires. - Original spare wheel and tire(Goodyear G800). CONS:- Has a couple of oil leaks. Rear main seal and transmission output shaft. Shop suggested removing transmission to reseal - remove and replace main seal. - No carpet currently in the front of vehicle. I have a complete carpet kit for the vehicle which will be included.- Paint originally Valencia Blue - Now appears to be French Blue. Painted some time ago and paint has held up well. Some remnants of Valencia Blue still show on the car(under rear hatch, parts of engine bay). Not a show car by any means but very presentable as is. The passenger fender/hood was hit. Hood opens and closes fine but not completely flush on the passenger side. I have a replacement piece for the individual part that is dented. As you can see from the photos it is hard to see the dent unless you are looking for it.- Parking brake does not work well. - I have listed the mileage at 78,634 as that is what is showing on odometer. The odometer works but I do not know if mileage is original or if it has turned over. - Bumpers are original and very straight but do have some light pitting. - Shifting is fine on the way up but there is grinding / difficulty downshifting into 2nd and 1st gear. *** I have done my best to give you the PROS and CONS but I am sure I have missed something. Please remember the car is almost 50 years old and has not been fully restored. Please email or call me anytime with any questions you have. I can be reached at (661)203-8472. The car is far from perfect but has great bones and can be enjoyed as is. I am listing with a very low reserve. Good luck and happy bidding.
