1979 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Karmann Convertible Beetle Description

1979 VOLKSWAGEN KARMANN BEETLE CONVERTIBLE VW BUG
With only 24,423 original miles (no rebuilt engine), this classic beetle has been garage kept its whole life (NO RUST!). It is in perfect running condition. We have owned the car for the past 15 years. There were two previous owners before us one had it for about 15-18 years prior to us.
This is a rear find as it is a Historic Car, Original Engine, No Rust on the floor pan or anywhere else on the body and under 25k miles on it, this is a collectors car. While it is not in perfect condition, due to very minor paint chips, and a few nobs missing over the years, it would take very little to bring it to show status.
The car starts up every time, runs smooth and goes over 70mph with no vibration. Also included are many tune-up parts and tools (including the sought after Torquemeister), as this car was tuned up regularly by the owner. Many new parts were installed over the last couple of years, including a new master cylinder, fuel pump, alternator, battery, exhaust, all rubber hoses (fuel and air) and pipes, tires with whitewall stripe still have full tread.
Noted problems:
Minor oil drips after long drives, a few paint chips that are touched up, and some not. The car was repainted original color by previous owner after hail damaged the front hood. There is a rip in the floor rubber by the pedals, this rubber can be replaced from beetle supply websites for about $100. There is also a missing knob/switch on the dashboard. There is also minor rust on the wheels that can easily be cleaned up with steel wool and touchup paint, but yes, the wheels are original. Some of the rubber trim around the windows is worn with age.
