1993 Volkswagen “Weekender” Camper (seating for 7) – (more storage and sleeping room than regular camper) – (I have the extra seat in my garage right now to make it easier for our camping)
VIN: WV2MD0707PH087033
Mileage: 150,181
We have camped all over out West with this camper: Yosemite, Jalama Beach, Carpenteria, Doheny, San Onofre, Pismo Beach, Limekiln, Kings Canyon, Redwoods, Oregon on coast, Lake Quinault Wash, Moran State Park San Juan Islands, Palomar Mountain, Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon, Prescott, Eugene, Borrego Springs, Agua Caliente, & San Clemente – what great memories !!!
When we arrive at a campsite, we set up an easy Coleman 6 person tent to store all our stuff at the campsite, then sleep in the camper.
We’ve had great camping experiences with my VW Camper, but we are upgrading to a motor home and do not need the VW Camper, trailer, and electric fridge anymore – but the camper still has a load of adventure to discover wherever you want to explore.
We pull a trailer which hauls our firewood and camping gear – it is a Wells Cargo 4’ x 6’ Mini Wagon enclosed trailer ($2500 new) – the trailer is set up for camping - it has a shelf and plastic bins already installed and are all included – the bottom half carries the all firewood.
We also have been using an $850 Engel MR040F-U1 AC/DC 40 qt fridge – read the reviews - it will run for a full week on the house batteries:
