Engine:
The original engine was gone when I bought it and now this car is powered by a very nice 1641 with dual Solex carburetors. The engine and engine compartment are highly detailed. I recently added a very nice set of aftermarket Porsche air filters purchased from Wolfsburg West. I also took a hideaway exhaust and welded in place a Magna Flow muffler to experiment with the sound. It came out awesome and has an incredibly unique tone. The engine has less than 5,000 miles on it. The transaxle is brand new as well and has the same number of miles. This car cruises at 80 mph and it does burn outs. Plenty of power.

Brakes:

All new “juice” brakes are in place instead of the original cable brakes. The brakes are brand new. All new shocks as well.
Trunk:
The trunk area is highly detailed. The gas cap is the ultra-rare “COG” style and is highly sought after. The gas tank is painted gloss black and color sanded to a mirror finish. The trunk area is painted base coat clear coat and was color sanded to a glass finish. The glove boxes are painted smoke gray.
Electrical:
All new electrical converted to 12 volts. The Semaphores run off of a voltage decrease and work flawlessly. The Semaphore’s are the smooth style not the grooved style.

Exterior:

Paint:
The paint is a base coat clear coat unique dark blue and looks black at times. Great looking color that garners a lot of positive remarks. The paint is about 5 years old and there are a few flaws.
The 1951 bumpers have been rechromed and I painted the inserts red.
The 15” smoothies are powder coated smoke gray and sport Denman Deluxe white walls. 16” X 3.25 wheels are correct for this car.
Mirrors are Albert fender mount style.

Interior:
The interior paint colors are Dark blue with smoke gray and ivory trim. The seat material is unique and is one of the only portions of the car that I chose to not restore to original. The fabric is a very plush cloth and includes matching armrest pillows. The headliner is genuine Mohair and the carpet is German square weave with leather inserts. The Pods are painted Ivory and really look great against the Dark Blue.
The “Batwing” steering wheel is painted Ivory with the correct grooved horn button housing and an ivory aftermarket “Homemarket” horn button.
St. Christopher brass glove box door inserts.
Correct rear view mirror has slight imperfections in the mirror/glass but it does not affect viewing performance.
