1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Karmann Ghia EV Description

EXPORT, NO PROBLEM...
This is a Super COOL, Extremely well built 74 Karmann Ghia Electric Vehicle in amazing low mile condition. This car was professionally built by an electrical engineer for his personal use and as a show car... the work is meticulous. Amazingly well conceived and executed. Uses long life lithium batteries (not regular car batteries which are heavy and dont last in this application) standard 4 speed manual transaxel... nice set up with perfect gearing all around... great power off the line and will cruise highway speeds easily. It is a TOP QUALITY professional electric conversion on an excellent restored original Ghia and it shows throughout. $25K spent on the project and used as a daily driver for years. The car looks great and runs/feels AMAZING. No detail left undone. Definite daily driver capable.
.. Excellent beach cruiser, commuter or addition to any collection.

Body is straight and Rust Free with no collision damage that I can see. Older repaint presents well with some blemishes and touch ups... trim, moldings etc are well in tact. Underside is clean and solid. Doors and windows work perfectly. I have the headlight trim.

Interior is very nice as well. Custom Dash and Gauges. Custom reclining heated seats... Carpet, panels and headliner look great... Custom Gauges and electronics work great with monitors and gauges for everything. Has a nice modern sound system and working heat/defrost. Conversion parts were done with style and taste.
The DC motor works great and has more power than a stock Ghia. Feels quite peppy. Rebuilt VW 4 speed transaxel with clutch shifts smooth through the gears and is a blast to drive. Uses 6 Lithium battery packs of 6 small batteries each. Batteries hold full charge and and are fully monitored individually and together. Auto charger works perfectly. Suspension
feels tight and handles excellent. Brakes stop straight and sure. 50 plus mile range ... regular 110 household outlet for charging... build is documented with schematics and parts used. It is reliable and easily maintained/serviced. FABULOUS driver.
Overall this is an extremely nice little custom cruiser in fantastic condition all around... it is well preserved and upgraded. Awesome weekend cruiser, potential show car, or addition to any collection. I am a collector... this is a great one for any enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, classic unique rod at a great price.
The car is located in Philadelphia PA... Inspections are welcome and encouraged... serious buyers can call me at 310 850 8980 but no tire kickers please. I'm open to interesting trades (in accordance with ebay guidelines) but no projects or junk please.
