I have 2 other Dokas for sale at the moment - 1 of them a very nice Syncro - Check my other auctions! I am moving cross-country in 3 weeks and need to sell two of them. Whichever 2 sell first, great, they will go to new owners... But honestly, this is the one I want to keep for myself so I actually hope it does not sell.
ABOUT THE TRUCK HERE ; As you can see, it has a tacky (maybe) Euro-trash Rat Look. May not be to everyones tastes, but, I do have most of the trim parts to take it back to the stock look. Lenses, grilles, headlights, steel wheels and tires... Would not be difficult. But for those of you that like the lowered and flat-black look -- WOW. Here it is.
Truck was professionally converted to a 4-door as you can see here. All parts used were OEM, and you can not tell where anything was welded on. Looks great. Truck also has an electric power steering kit - works perfectly and makes truck very easy to drive, even with the big, wide, 18" wheels.
Truck was also upgraded to a 1.9Tdi engine with all its original electronic equipment, so it is economica, reliable, and looks the part. Check out the cool intercooler duct in the back - looks totally factory even though it was added on.
Truck was originally orange. If I get to keep i, it is going back to original color.
Truck is SUPER SOLID. Probably the best I have ever had, myself. Look at photos of floors and front steps - never repaired and perfect as they sit. Locker boxes solid (wet because I just pressure washed them out for photo, seats comfy. Starts, runs, drives, stops, perfectly. Very fast, right up to about 70-75MPH, its top speed.
Fitted tonneau cover for truck bed is nice and in good condition. Plywood floor on truck bed protecting perfect steel bed.
BAD THINGS ; headliner removed for 4th door add - on - never replaced. 4th door has no interior door panel (easily obtained, no radio. Red dashboard - why?? - If you really scrutinize you can find a rust bubble here or there, but this is a truly super-solid truck. If you have seen as many of these as I hav, you will be impressed with this one. Looks / style of this may not suit everyone, or even very many people, which may be its big drawback. This is about all that is wrong with the thing though--
SO - Go try to find another A) VW Doka that is in good condition, that B) Has 4 operating doors - and - C) Has been upgraded to a powerful, modern, 1.9TDi engine, and also... D) Has power steering. Know what? You will not find one. At any price. $15,000 is a great deal for this, you can not build on for this price.
