1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

The current owner has owned this for 20 years. He's financing a family now and the project remains uncompleted. This is a dandy 1977 pop up Campmobile Van from VW. There are many good qualities of this van. Also, some thing to be taken care of. Overall this is a very inexpensive restoration.

All of the hubcaps are present and just stored indoors. The body is solid despite being left outside for 10 years in the MN winters. It was covered with a tarp and I'm sure that helped while having plywood underneath the vehicle. This was driven to its current location, behind his fathers storage shed. We have not tried to start it. I am certain with the right mechanical minds (not mine) one could get this going easily. Comes with all the keys including locking gas cap. The drivers door is inoperable from the outside. The passenger side mirror is cracked. The brakes have a leak. There are multiple areas of surface rust speckles. The bumpers have some doinks in them. The canvas has multiple seem tears. On the passenger side there is a shallow easy dent by the rear bumper. rear side marker turn signal is missing on the passenger side. The drivers side has a "keyed" like scratch and a lower shallow dent.

It has the spare tire and mounting hardware on the floor in the van. The plug ins are present as well as the exterior attachment. The glass is all good. All the doors open and shut as they should but the side door could use some lube. The top does not appear to be damaged in any way except for the canvas and the perimeter seal. The front headlights and turn signals are good. The dash and gauges are fabulous with no cracks and no sun fade. The seating pads are in very good condition with the bunk pads present. The rear compartment is all there with the small mirror. The original gold curtains are still in place and holding well for 40 years old. The rear taillight assembly is complete and intact. Manufacture tag says 10 of 1976 and is present. Clear title. Currently not licensed in any state. Has MN collector plates.
