This is a special 1978 (type 2) Volkswagen Bus with 138,537 original miles. It is a 100% rust free California bus since new. The engine starts right up and runs extremely well. There are no leaks, smoke or any unusual noises. The entire drive-train is solid and tight. The clutch is perfect and it shifts perfectly through all the gears. The brakes, steering and suspensionare all in A+ condition. The bus is a lot of fun to drive and always receives compliments. This lovely hippie bus has been very well maintained with thousands of dollars worth of receipts and recent repair work completed only performed by seasoned VW mechanic shops. It has an excellent ownership history and long term care. This bus has been featured in Playboy (copy and paste link for the Playboy video shoot), TV commercials and engagement shoots.

Cosmetically the bus looks amazing! The paint has a lustrous shine with minimal chips, dings (most noticeable aboveengine lid), chips, etc. There are no major dents and the overall appearance is outstanding!

The vintage roof rack has just the right amount of patina and adds a tremendous amount of character...The body,chassis and floors are completely untouched and 100% rust free.

In the past few years the bus has undergone a cosmetic refreshing, and listed below are most of the parts that were replaced

It all folds down easily with a nice rear pad for a convenient rest area, only the original Westy's from this era have this feature.
