1965 VW Beetle Bug Bradley GT
1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Racing Description
If you've always wondered if you should get one of this, here is an opportunity to finally own one with the "Bugs" out.
Rebuilt stock engine. Enhanced HP per pound performance due to much lighter weight. Early Bradley GT version (round tail lights) popular in the 70's. These are well made sturdy bodies, not like some others where the windshield would not stay in the frame, e.g. Kelmark GT. 6000 of these sleek and sexy custom bodies were produced by 1977. Mechanical retractable head lamps. Open T-top as gullwing doors were discarded after they close on your head once. And you would literally sit on the floor with the fiber-glass buckets they came with. Since they've been upgraded to a comfy solo seat, while providing more luggage space on the passenger side. Many features had been modified through the years, including a fabric-ated battery cover, LED tail lights, black mag wheels and a (rare) racing spoiler. It has such a simple design one would reach a limit in how much more to accesorize, ...... perhaps a Bradley GT key-ring! If you are inclined to spend some money to show pride of ownership, you could re-paint it your favorite color, BRG, Fly Yellow, Ferrarai Red, Wimbledon White, Badboy or Spy Black?
Starts right up. Runs well and idles nicely. Good tires, clutch and brakes. With a low center of gravity-ratio to (wider) track, it steers and handles as a decent performing sports car. CA. registration is still current until Oct. Mechanical parts are inexpensive and readily available. Bradley GT has a newer manufacture and source. Many parts are listed on Ebay. This is a car you would not be afraid to "beat up" driving it hard. Potential for mechanical enhancements has no bounds, limited only by your imagination, likes and wants. This may not be your daily driver to commute in traffic. It would make a fun open car for pleasure or a magnet on weekends. It's simple, reliable with an "Exotic" car appeal on a budget, i.e. without the bragging rights of a $5k bill to remove the engine to replace the timing belt every 30k miles! (You know that Red one.) You would not empty your bank account while enjoying unique driving excitement.
Place your bid for transport at uShip for 500 or less, and wait for last minute available truck space. Free secure storage would be provided to the lucky buyer for 30 days.
