1974 Volkswagen Thing Hardtop or Convertible Description

An unrestored original VW Thing that features original patina and yet has been gone through end to end to ensure excellent performance (have receipts). Optional removable hardtop but also can be convertible- your choice.
The engine was totally rebuilt in 2016 and was recently tuned. All original VW parts remain. New brakes in 2017 as well as tie rods and steering damper, shift bushings, axle boots, and new stainless exhaust. New tires installed as well as new clear vinyl for door windows. Clutch adjusted. Front seats rebuilt with new covers. Pre-wired for towing behind RV (which seems to be where it spent most of its life).
The hardtop is original VW accessory (see pic) and simply bolts on or off. All doors and windows remove and windshield folds down.
The mileage is believed to be original but due to age I list as exempt per SC.
This car is a blast to drive and draws crowds wherever you go.
