1970 VW Beetle w/original pop-out rear windows. This was my father-in-laws beetle, so naturally, I had to hang onto it for almost 20 years. It is rare in that it has been kept all original (see pic of engine compartment, orig, Oil Bath air cleaner and hosework). It has been garage-kept, rolled out and started once or twice a year, washed and returned to the garage under a sheet. I am getting tired of the ethanol fuel gumming up the carb while stored and having to clean it just to get it to idle right. This thing always fires right up though. It's time to find a home that will do the restoration that it deserves. The car is tight and drives nice, I ran it around the block again today, but don't plan on driving this home, it needs to be trailered home and gone over carefully to ensure that it is roadworthy. Last registered in 2007, but not driven (even in 2007) except once to work and back by my wife. Would love to answer any questions or add a specific picture at the request ofa serious bidder. This car was manufactured in Sept-1969. It is the original yellow. Known problem is the front hood latch release cable mechanism is broken, so its a trick to open. Headliner is in excellent condition w/only one 1 inch tear. Reserve ultra-low at $4900.
