1962 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

Hello and thanks for looking!!! This is not a barn find but a pasture find. The former owner told us that he drove it to his pasture in the 80's, as his ex-wife was tired of looking at it in the driveway. Overall it is probably 95% complete and rust wise, not that bad compared to other buses. It has the usual rust in the step areas, rockers, rear corners, battery area. The floor has rust by the side opening doors, again not that bad. The floor braces appear to be in good condition. I have additional photos upon request, just give me your email address.

Odometer shows 70,974 miles and according to the former owner, that is actual. We have not attempted to get the engine running again. The rear engine compartment door is broke off around the hinge area as the hinges were seized and someone attempted to open it. The back glass and right front door glass has been broke out. Rear bumper has been torched out for exhaust? and has collision damage. There is some hail damage to the roof, all repairable.

We have a clean Nebraska title in our name. We planned on restoring this bus, but the same old story of too many projects and not enough time or money.
