1973 Volkswagen Thing Description

Thank you for viewing my listing. Im selling our 73 Thing that I purchased from the 2nd owner a few years back. This Thing is in fantastic condition and I get compliments on it all the time. Its always been stored inside, and was used sparingly, towed behind a motor home by the second owner the majority of its life from the early 80s. The top is new, body was painted Porsche yellow in the early 90's. The wheels and tires are new with about 50 miles on them. Windows are excellent and stored in their storage bags in the trunk. Engine runs great, shifts smooth and sounds nice with the aftermarket exhaust. (I can send a video of it running and driving if one requests) We have enjoyed this car immensely and have taken it to a few shows and Sunday cruises for Ice Cream. Its not a trailer queen or Barrett Jackson quality but then again its a Thing lol However it is probably one of the nicest out there and we get stopped and stares every time we take it out. Any questions please ask, if additional pics are needed I would be happy to take a few more. A battery switch was installed under the seat as well as a digital tach. It has a CB, and some nice vintage Pioneer speakers in the back : ) This has the gas heater which we never used as we only took it out in the summer. It's insured with Hagerty and its insanely reasonable for annual coverage on this classic. Thanks for looking!
