1965 VW Beetle 2 Door Sedan
This baby has been in storage for 7 years, but has been garaged most of its life. The motor has been rebuilt by a VW specialist, as part of this restoration. It is a low mileage car.
New engine parts include: Valve job, rings, rods, main bearing, all motor seals, oil pump, rotor, points, distributor, spark plugs and wires, fuel pump, clutch kit, throw out bearing, tail pipe extensions. The block was split and cleaned.
Heater boxes and the muffler are in good shape. Floor pan under the battery was replaced and the others areas were in good shape.
The transmission oil was changed, the carburetor was rebuilt, and the gas tank was flushed out and coated.
The restoration included the following new parts: Front and rear shocks, rubber on base of the gear shifter, steering damper, glass windshield, wiper blades, rubber was replaced on the front, back, and side windows and around the doors, radial tires, front bumper, tire rings, front wheel bearings, ball joint, brake system complete, battery, seat covers, carpet and head liner. The original brake cable was left because it was in good shape.
This car never had a radio and still does not.
The original hubcaps are in place. The wheel drums were turned for the brakes. The front axle is in good shape. Installed a new boot on the rear axle.
The odometer has been replaced so is working but is not actualmileage
This car is a flash from the past, when behind the steering wheel with the sound of the motor and the roar of the road, it is a great feeling. This car drives like an old vintage car with the low seat backs giving you a clear 360 degree visibility.
