Hello, ou are bidding on a 1960 Volkswagon Beetle Rag Top. I will try and put as much detail as possible. If I miss anything contact me at any time, am very responsive, nd 100% transparent when it comes to selling cars.
Much of this bug has been modified from factory original. The body, an and seats are original – 1960. Vin tag on door matches Vin on Body (1960 VW). I am not 100% sure if it is a factory ragtop or not. If it was grafted in someone did a great job. I just had the car painted (Dec. 2015) and some bodywork was done to it. It is not car show quality, ut cleaned up nicely. No original trim on car.
It is what I would call your typical Cal-Bug, r California bug. If there is rust anywhere on this car I have not found it -- it was an Arizona and Nevada car. It runs but will need a tune up. Brakes fine, ut also need some attention. There is no E-brake. There is no heater. Dash is just a panel with felt over it. Steering wheel is aftermarket. Gauges need work. It may sound like a lot, ut these parts are interchangeable and found just about anywhere.
Here are a few more details:
1600 dual port, ne carburetor engine.
4 speed transmission works fine!
12 volt system
Disc brakes up front, rum in back
4 lug Spider rims and good tires
Bumping stereo would make any 18 year old proud
Interior needs to be finished, riginal seats
Rag top is vinyl and will need to be replaced, atches/closes fine
Slammed to the ground and looks great!
Stinger exhaust
Registration is current, nd Title (pink slip) is CLEAR and in my name
This bug is not completely restored so I’ll pass off the savings to you.
Check out pics, mail for questions. I can even send video if you like.
I reserve the right to sell this vehicle locally. Buyer is 100% financially responsible for pick up and/or transportation. I would not suggest driving it over long distance. I am in Camarillo, alifornia. Bid with confidence, sk questions. This will be a very fun car, nd with a little TLC, true head-turner.
Thanks for checking out my car.
