Calif. pink in hand and in owners name w/ salvage title----The cause is unknown, car fax comes back with no negative or positive remarks. Believe to be either a theft recovery over 20 years ago. You are welcome to have this car inspected before purchase. It has never been wrecked and shows nicer in person than in the pictures.
Before current owner purchased it he had vehicle completely inspected by a VW mechanic who owns a Thing, Bus and Karman Ghia and his assessment was there is no evidence of an accident or any other reason for a salvage status. He said he would never expected the salvage had he not been told of it. The Thing handles & drives very nicely would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.
If you have looked at all the pictures, then you will not be disappointed. Thing is being sold AS-IS so you are encouraged to view and drive the Thing before auction ends.
