1972 VW Volkswagon Karmann Ghia Convertible Blood Orange Super Snazzy!
1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Description
We are selling our beloved gorgeous blood orange 1972 convertible Karmann Ghia. I had one in college but not a convertible. Shortly after I got married we bought another hard-top Karmann Ghia and sold it two years later. We regretted it and purchased another and finally got the convertible we always wanted. We have owned it almost 10 years and had it professionally painted and bumpers re-chromed a few years ago. The engine is strong, and has 92,500 miles on it. We have always kept it garaged, and drove it rarely. We moved 4 years ago to a house with a detached garage that we do not park in, but the Karmann Ghia sleeps there. Now I don't even get to walk by and admire it as I come and go! This car is way too flashy to continue being hidden away in our garage. It truly does remind one of a "Poor man's Porsche". If you live on the East Coast and have been searching for a great Karmann Ghia, this may be the one for you. As you know if you are reading this ad, these cars are just not around much anymore, and to find a convertible in the condition this 72 is in on the East Coast is rare. Come and take a look in person, we are not car buffs or engine specialists, just people that love Karmann Ghias. We do have paperwork reflecting an engine rebuild in May 2009 when the car had 61,106 miles on it. The description of work says: RepairExcessive End Play, Rebuild engine with line bore, Paint like OEM, Replace trans with customer trans, and replace rear transmnts/fluid. There is also an itemized parts/materials list with the engine rebuild. Local pick-up only on the sale of the car. Please contact us with any questions.
