GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1966 Volkswagen Beetle for your consideration. Finished in Sea Sand beige and a black interior, this car has a ton of appeal and shows very well. This cute little bug was built on September 20, 1965 in Emden, Germany. Once the Bug made its way into the states it made its way to Philadelphia, where it was sold new. The car comes with a copy of its birth certificate showing this, also... showing that the car is numbers matching. According to the owner the 1300cc engine was rebuilt in 1999 and driven only 3,000 miles since then. The car just recently had a compression test done and showed 125 or better on all cylinders. The seats have been reupholstered and look great. Other highlights include new batter, new starter, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel filter, new weather stripping and beading, new tie rods/shocks and wheel bearings, complete brake system overhaul, new points/condenser/rotor and coil, new valve cover gaskets and valve covers, all new fluids, new tires and more. The Sea Sand beige exterior shows very well and the chrome remains in good condition as well. The car recently came from Florida, where it had lived for 16 years.
