1985 VOLKSWAGEN VANAGON WESTFALIA POP-TOP CAMPER
1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia camper Description
I'm selling this VW for a retired friend of mine that now drives a newer and larger VW/Winnebago camper. He also doesn't have eBay access or a computer for that matter, and since I work at a VW shop, it's okay by me. He's had this VW camper for nearly 20-years and driven it on many vacations. While it drives nice now, with a little effort, it can ready to camp with later this fall, even though it's pretty much ready now. The only thing I would do prior to drivinganywhere is oil/filter change, replace muffler, install new tires and maybe ck the brakes just to be safe. That's just myopinion, but after that I'd drive it for sure. I can take care of that for the winning bidder should you want it done.
-This VW starts right up & drives straight down the road.-187k miles.-Clean interior.-Super clean underbody.-Trailer hitch.-Sink pump not working ($35 for new one), propane empty so can't ck the stove, and haven't checked the fridge. -Some seam rust on drivers side, but I've seen much worse.-Canvas is original and patched. Get a new one for $350 and have a friend help put it on some weekend. -Aftermarket muffler should be replaced at some point. Stock muffler is about $125.00-Tires look like new but should be replaced due to extreme Florida heat giving them dry rot. -A/C not working but was converted to R134A at some point and in tact.
Not many of these campers in solid running and driving condition for under $10k.Take a look at it in person if you're inthearea.I can help with transport through some friends that transport vehicles and are very reliable. If you want some of the misc. work done (exhaust, tires, etc), I can help with that as well.
Sold as-is with no warranty implied or offered on this 33-year old VW.
