I am selling my 1981 Westfalia . It was purchased about 2 years ago in Washington state. This has been a super fun surf and adventure camper for me but I recently moved to Brooklyn, NY and don’t have the means to keep it in the city. It starts and runs very smooth, I’d have to say it is so smooth it almost doesn't even feel like a VW. The body is extremely clean for the year. Its never been wrecked and is still in its factory original paint. As this has lived mostly on the west coast it has almost no rust. One key works in all the doors. Overall this is a very clean, well cared for Westfalia. And the fact that its an automatic I kinda feel is pretty rare. Most I see are manual transmission. She’s in excellent shape and has the following upgrades:
Replaced the fuel lines recently
Tune up service with replaced air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, ignition wire set, and distributor cap.
New Tires
New Cat. Convertor and all new gaskets
New engine cover insulation installed
Oil Changed this summer
New Brake, Master Cylinder, and Vacuum Booster
New Alternator Belt
New Side View Mirrors
New CD/Radio installed
New Battery
New Alternator
New Wiper Blades
*receipts have been filed and kept for all of the above
It is equipped with all the standard Westfalia gear, stov, fridg, upper and lower beds. Canvas is in good shape and was bleached and cleaned at the start of the summer. The upper bunk has been aired out and cleaned.Front seats swivel around. The last time I had her tuned up my mechanic mentioned a hole in the muffler so that will need to be replaced soon. Other than that this van is turn key and ready to roll! The odometer shows 88,000 miles, The speedo isn't accurate so Imnot sure on the actual mileage, although engine was looked at by 2 mechanics when I purchased her and is in very good shape. It featuresa 2.0L fuel injected air cooled engine andautomatic transmission.
Comes with NYS Certificate of Title and Inspection.

If you have questions on the title please contact me. Apparently in 1995 the van was stolen in California and a few months later was recovered . The insurance company had paid the claim on the van . So at that point a salvage brand on the title happened. There is a Vin number plate in the door jam issued by California . Although the salvage brand was not on the Washington state title or my NY state title.
