1970 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Pop-Top Camper Description

This is a great running, driving European Westfalia pop top camper bus that is ready to go. It could use some paint and a fresh interior, but is still in nice enough shape to be used as it is. The tent canvas has a few rips and will need to be replaced. It is in decent enough shape to still be used as it is for a bit.

The bus was used as a sign in front of a dinner in UT for years after a full restoration. Below the belt line is Rust-oleum as the previous owner sanded most of the graphics and sign from the dinner off before sale.

The bus has had everything behind the cab done as far as rust repair and will still needs a couple of spots on the lower doglegs on both sides by the front bumper steps repaired There are also a few spots on the front floor that will need to be repaired as well. The rest of the bus is rust free!

The inner and outer rockers were replaced, as well as the spot in front of the passenger rear wheel and the battery tray. The major dents have been hammered out, no body work has been done, and will still need finish work before paint.

The windshield is new and I have a box of with new seals for all the side louvered windows, and new seal for the pop-top that comes with purchase. The original wheels were sand blasted and have had all of the clips that were broken replaced before the new baby moons were installed. The tires have plenty of tread left on them and there is new carpet and curtains.

The engine was rebuilt, new German Solex carburetor, 009 distributor, electronic ignition, Bosch blue coil, and the brakes and shocks were replaced all around. New tail lights and side markers.

The bus is a solid running and driving vehicle and wouldn’t take much to make worth over double what I am asking. Most of the hard work has been done and with some paint and newer interior this could be a great show vehicle! The bus is ready to hit the road and explore!
