This is a senior citizen owned Vanagon Westfalia by Volkswagon. I am selling this for my 80 year old friend that is not computer savvy. His Vanagon has been garaged and very well kept.It isvery much above average init's condition. He has been cross country in his van from coast to coast. The owners manual and service receipts are included with the sale of the vehicle. This is a inland Texas vehicle that has no rust of any kind and has never been in a accident. It had the engine rebuilt, the transmission rebuilt, and the body was repainted all in the past 3 years.
The vanagon starts easily and there are no fluid drips or leaks. It can sit for months and there is no spotting. It will start with the pumping of the accelerator a few times, this after sitting for weeks at a time.
The interior is in excellent condition. All of the appliances shine like new and the stove has never been used. Carpet and seats are in above average condition with no staining rips or burns. The dashboard has no cracks.
It is a 4 cylinder with automatic transmission. It does not have power steering. I have driven this van just recently when he brought it to me. I find only 2 items that are not 100%. The a/c does not work however it had worked up until recently he said. I also hear an exhaust leak that he said he has driven with for years. I am critical of cars and I find fault with these two items.
Also note he backed into something and there is some very minordents to the rear bumper.
He is a Willie Nelson type and drove this to Woodstock, South by Southwestin Austin, Haight Ashbury and on to Seattle. He has covered many happymiles but has decided his hippy days are waning.
I believe this could be driven home but like any car that is35 years old he can not and will not guarantee or imply any warranty. The vehicle issold as is.A$500 dollar deposit is due within 24 hours of the sale and payment in full is due within7days. Ifpayment is not received in7 days the deposit is forfeited
Thank you for your consideration.
