Up for auction is my 1975 Volkswagen 15 window bus. It is a GREAT running and driving bus, one of the better buses that I have had mechanically. Cosmetically it isn’t a show bus, rather a nice driver that can be enjoyed without worrying about.
I have almost 100 pictures posted and they are very honest and accurate to the actual condition of the bus. These split front window buses were manufactured in Germany and Brazil. In Germany from 1950-1967 and in Brazil from 1950-1975 this being a brazilian bus.
The interior is pretty decent. The middle bench seat isn't fastened to the floor, just resting there. The floor pans are in nice shape. The bottom of the bus has some paint bubbling which I have photographed and also some bubbling on the rear hatch door towards the bottom. There is a small rust spot at the corner of the rear hatch gate about 3" x 2". The bottom of the doors clearly have some paint blemishes also, its a great 10 footer. The engine compartment is very clean and solid, doesn't have any signs of any sort of collisions. There is a little rust at the top and bottom of the side doors which I have photographed. This bus has the nicest steering wheel and horn button I have ever seen, they are near perfect.
This bus runs very well, and is a 1500CC engine which doesn't burn or leak oil; it has a nice dry undercarriage/engine. As I highlighted in the photos the bumper has some spots that have been brush touched. The speedo, fuel gauge and odometer are functional as well as exterior lighting.
The speedo, fuel gauge and odometer are functional as well as exterior lighting. The horn also works. The tires are in OK shape but are older and could use new rubbers if it was going to be used daily. Please check my other auctions for another bus for sale. Thanks and good luck!!
