This is a low down, rat rod FACTORY SUN ROOF bug! The car has lots of character and patina!You can cruise around town without worrying about scratching it. This car is truly an attention getter!It looks like it has most of its original L360 sea blue paint on the outside, inside, paint is original and good! Carpet is a year or two old, new off white front and rear seat covers were just installed.It appears that the window seals have been replaced at some point as they are not petrified yet, but not new.The floors and 1 heater channel have been recently replaced. The front beam has been narrowed, and is adjustable, rear looks like it's been dropped 1or 2 clicks . Tires are fairly new with plenty of tread, wheels are 15 inch EMPI sprint stars. Brakes have been gone through, all the drums have been replaced. lights and turn signals work, as does the wiper motor.Engine is a recently installed 1600 c.c. sp, good power, runs well, It has been converted to a 12 volt alternator, recent 12 volt starter. The flywheel is also a 12 volt styl, giving the car a more dependable electrical system, as well as the bigger clutch and pressure plate. The bug has a new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, shift fork, clutch cable and throttle cable. The engine has a newish solex carburetor and a 009 distributor. Engine has a stock muffler with j-tubes, heater tube ducts are plugged at the fan shroud to maintain sufficient cooling. The plugs and wires are new. The transmission shifts well, clutch grabs quickly. The pedals have also been redone at some point.Car comes with a chromed roof rack with wood slats, also comes with a vintage cooler, matching blue suit case, and a steel gas can.The car is over 50 years old, it has dents, scratches, imperfections etc. It is a RAT ROD, not a new Toyota, not perfect, may need adjusting/finishing to your liking. It is a riot and an attention getter to drive! Previous owner says he drove it all around till medical problems forced sale. I have not personally driven this car very far, or fast as the tags expired about a year ago.
