1969 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

1969 Convertible VW Bug. A good car for driving around town. A great project for the VW enthusiast who wantsto restore an old classic. I bought the car in 2006 off of ebay from a dealership in New Jersey and towed it back to Vermont. Since then, I have replaced the engine, added seat belts, replaced the running boards, new windshield, new hubs, and am in the process of replacing one of the floor pans (right side rear under the battery). One of the back windows on the driver side is broken and needs to be welded, the window itself is still intact and it does not have a back seat, it didn't have one when I bought it. The car has only been driven in decent weather and has been stored inside with a cover on it during the winter, in fact it is always kept in the garage. I have had a great run with this car - it runs great and started on the second try after being stored for winter months. Its time to pass it on to someone who will give it the attention it deserves. It could use a new paint job, the color is silver which really makes the car look sharp(blue was the original color) and the top is in good condition but could be replaced at some point. I'm sad to give this car up but it's difficult to find a garage that will work on it and I cant do the work myself.
