1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Description

1964 Karmann Ghia 6 volt with original black plates numbers matching body engine and trans . Ruby red with a black top are the original colors from the factory. Never hit in nose.The paint inst perfect it's not supposed to be, theres chips, cracks in the pain, very straight car. The roof has been stripped down to bare metal and repainted with a PPG quality paint flattener was added just enough to give it that original paint look. the bottom ruby red is most likely from the 60s or 70s it is it 2nd paint job from what I can tell and I just didn't have the heart to paint it it has just the right amount of patina for that awesome book the inside has been repainted ruby red with PPG paint I had a formula made so it can be duplicated anytime it looks really nice and goes with a car as the inside has new TMI headliner new TMI carpet with gray cloth bindings the floor mat's are original and are an excellent shape with no tears it also has carpet that can go right over the rubber floor mats if want it so it can sport two looks. it has the original door panels which are an excellent shape. it has a new dash and a restored AM FM Bendix radio that was serviced by radio

Phil it has the correct Ghia radio face plate and this radio is very rare it was the first AM FM Bendix radio that came out in 1964 . all gauges work and have been serviced and restored even the clock works. and it works perfect all the gauges are original to the car. basically every nut and bolt has been cleaned or replated on the whole car top and bottom the underside of this car looks magnificent the pans are original and rust free. All Rubber on this inside and out has been replaced with quality rubber. both door lock catchs on the body have been rebuilt.. The pans have been painted satin black PPG with the original undercoating left in place the car is 99% rust free. complete sound deadner was added underneath the headliner completely inside the door panels and quarter panels some areas on the rear pan and the original undercoating from Volkswagen is still in place it was removed from the pan was painted and then it was put back on. All electrical wire have been cleaned and sorted .. everything works..also have a quick start on it and it starts right up every time. The original transmission has been rebuilt at some point it's in the receipts when I received the car we restored it to look perfect cleaned it put new axles on it painted The tubes cleaned and the case to look original came out nice. the engine is original and has original miles all documented since day 1 all documents are housed in a large binder with laminated sheets I have over $16,500 in receipts not including any labor with labor I have over 20k invested. The front tires are New old stock denman and the rear tires are denman that match the fronts and are in great shape the spare is okay it's an original denman all 5 tires matc, the spare rim was stripped down to bare metal and painted satin black to match the original. Runs and drives super nice has all new shocks on all four all four brakes have been replaced new axle boots engine has been completely restored to look like original and you could eat off it top and bottom same with a tran, front end has been lubed cleaned and painted the car is Turn Key restored with the red patina paint I love the red look it just grew on me this car comes with the original owners manual and folder from the original San Diego dealer super cool documentation on this car. the only thing I haven't finished is the seats I have all the correct seats I just decided to save it for the next owner so they can decide what color and pattern they want if you want me to complete this that's no problem we can talk this car is completely Turn Key except for the seats license plate frames do not go with car. The transmission mount were replaced the engine mounts were replaced, also the clutch was replaced.
All engine seals have been replaced along with new fire wall . All the wheel wells have been painted satan black ppg leaving the factory under coating original.
