1970 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Manx Style Description

  • HARD TO FIND ONE LIKE THIS:
This buggy was assembled starting in 2014 and completed in 2015. The full length pan-uncut for long body buggy was from a 1970 rust free Beetle. Battery tray area was in perfect condition. The following items were included in the build. New long body with matching side panels in Pacific Blue gel-coat not painted from MGM plastics in San Marcos California. Front, rear and side bumpers tubes. A 1910cc Motor build by Car Craft Store in Riverside California was detailed and installed. All chrome sheet metal on motor. Duel Empi carbs. Electronic distributor by Pertonix - this is the key component to perfect firing. Empi muffler exhaust system - not some crazy loud boom pipe exhaust. Standard cam for a smooth running street worthy dependable ride. New brake master cylinder. Disc brakes installed on the front by Car Craft Store. Large oil sump and oil pump filter combo. Sand seal on crank behind power pully. IRS-Trans Axle with Type 2 CVS was installed with a unit from Rancho - this was purchased online from a buggy shop that shut down and had one left. New chrome spoke wheels were installed with All terrain tires. The steering wheel and shift knob were changed to metal flake blue for nostalgic look. Steering box was replaced. The interior is in great condition with a custom locking rear storage compartment. Seat belts. A roll cage was custom made and has two surf boards mounted on it for a sun shade top-these can be removed. Electronic tachometer and amp gauges with blue display were installed. Led turn signal lights installed front and rear. Carpet flooring installed. It has been driven very little since completion. Always garage kept. The car is located in Anthem Arizona. It now has an Arizona current registration good till April 2020. The California PCH BGGY plates will come with the car. It can be inspected in Anthem Arizona. Please do not try to purchase the car outside of Ebay. Transaction must be made properly. I recently relocated to Arizona and that is why it is registered in Arizona. Car was built by a life time VW enthusiast as a father/son project. If you have any questions about this buggy feel free to contact me through Ebay - Transparency is the best way. "NO RESERVE" Starting price reflects my minimum-no guessing! No need for a reserve.

Whats on it- The components and costs of this build. Missing from list; Shocks, Windshield rear view mirror, Cooling fan, LED dash lights, random ass nuts and bolts, chrome rear license plate light, Type 2 CVs at trans axle side. I am sure there is other stuff that is being forgotten. Please refer to the following list and do the math as to what this would cost to recreate. I hate to get rid of it but I have another project car and my son is in college so it must go. This Buggy needs a good home.!

On Sep-05-19 at 06:18:05 PDT, seller added the following information:

Seller of the red buggy that went off last week apparently did not get paid and the buyer apparently tried to negotiate after the auction. This is not fair to the seller and other bidders. It is relisted only to start all over again. "GEEZ"
