Meet Lucy! She was my first car and my daily driver for 3.5 years and that was 19 years ago. She came from ebay and my Dad hopped on a plane to go pick her up in Seattle, WA and drove her back! The only reason I am selling my girl is because I want her to be loved and enjoyed and experienced as I did when I was young! I feel like she would be amazing as a showpiece for a business to be driven in parades or just to be driven around town for all to enjoy! She runs though she has not been driven on a consistent basis in many years. In 2012 my family surprised me by giving her a makeover and freshening up! She got new tires, a new paint job and the brakes and engine worked on. I want her to find a good home where she is adored, appreciated and "exercised"!
The good: Clearly her color is glorious! Her motor had been replaced and had 12,000 miles on it when I got her (including her long drive home). I drove her for 3.5 years mainly around town. I don't know her exact mileage, but I would guess it to be no more than 32,000 miles. She recently just got new floor boards in the back, a new fuel line and larger fuel filter and a starter button. Turn signals work! She has a 4 speed transmission so driving her is super fun!
The bad: Her lights and CD player do not work. She has some rust. She has a couple of very small rust spots on the drivers side back panel. The areas around her lock buttons are a little rough looking with nicks and the drivers side lock button is missing. Her front seats have tears and the buttons to move the front seats up are missing. There was a mix up at the DMV when I went to get new plates for Lucy. Someone there made a mistake and told me I needed to sign the title even though technically it is my Dad's car. We have an Affirmation of Correction form that will be sent in along with the Title. You will be purchasing the car from my father technically. He will also be here when you pick Lucy up.
The ugly: I will probably cry when you drive away in Lucy. I will miss her dearly and an occasional update sent to me would be much appreciated! If you would prefer a closed adoption, I understand. I just want her to go live a happy life.
That all being said, she is almost 50 years old. She will require maintenance. If that scares you, you should not buy Lucy. :) If you have ANY questions, please reach out!
