Body work done by Gordon L. Hamilton (GLH Enterprises) in Golden, Colorado. Painted a Beryl YellowDitzler acrylic enamel: trim pieces like steering column, seat bases, shifter, E-brake handle, and wheel centers were painted ivory. Speaking of wheels, the two-toned 15-inchers are now wrapped with wide whitewalled Denman Elegant 5.60-15s, a nice vintage touch. Other exterior niceties include VW logoed mudflaps, new rubberby West Coast Metric and Original wood-slat roof rack. All glass in Excellent condition along with new rubber. With the hood raised, check out how sanitary the compartment is. New wiring and gas tank. Brake lights are LED for better visibility. Everything in Great working order.Sorry no radio at the time of production with delivery in 1956 but has antenna. At Boltswagen in Denver, Rick rebuilt theStock '56 Type 1, 1200engine to factory specs utilizing mostly German parts. The stock single port powerplant runs a single Solex 28 PCI carburetor 6.6:1 compression. Engine compartment detailed nicely. Swingaxle trans manual4 speed is also stock and rebuilt at Dynamic Automotive of Denver along with synchronize upgrade. New Battery remains 6volt as it was when new.Interior done by Mark Hannum, owner of Sewfine Automotive Interiors in Lakewood, Co. All the factory upholstery and carpeting were replaced. Camel colored leatherette and ivory piping over seats and door panels were used.New headliner and brown "pepper" carpet installed. The super clean dash sports new speaker grille and bud vase, radio block off plate and restored steering wheel. Chassis is alsocompletelyredone along with newbrake shoes, brake lines,wheel cylinders and master cylinder, etc.So much to list. Car Cover included along with new 6volt Battery Tender.
