1963 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

Selling my beloved vw to fund another project. Still Six volt, all original car. Matching body and pan with zero rust anywhere. Not even under the battery! It has the original engine which runs like a champ and a clean title. This car was a California car til about 1990 when it came to Colorado. Hadn't been on the road since 1991 and was stored indoors until I purchased it about 3 years ago as a barn find. It has newer factory original matched PPG single stage paint on the outside only, the interior is the original factory paint, it still has the original seatbelt sticker! That bamboo parcel tray and both rain shields were on the car when I got it, so I'm guessing they are at least 80's or 90's parts. Maybe even older. The exterior paint could use a buffing but it is pretty nice looking from a few feet. No chips or dings, it's really quite nice. I will be happy to buff it again for the new owner. The interior is completely original with the exception of new tmi seat covers and carpet as well as a New tmi ragtop. Everything else on this car is OEM. No reproduction or newer parts anywhere, all German original sheet metal, bumpers and fenders. Comes with a complete spare tire tool kit which I'm assuming is a new reproduction since it doesn't have the stamped vw logo front. Glass is in great shape. Run, shifts and drives perfectly. I just replaced the brake lines and master cylinder. So this car is turnkey as soon as you get it. I have the original running boards that will be installed and a bunch of parts that I will throw in. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I'm open to offers, and will entertain solid ones. Lowballs, not so much. This car is a hybrid of patina and fully restored. Not out of laziness, but from a love of both vw cultures. I attempted to keep it as original as humanly possible while still being a fully functioning and clean driver that your wife will actually WANT to be seen in. Mine is picky as hell, and she really enjoys going out for a stroll in this little guy. As with all ragtops, water pooling in the floorpan is a problem if you ever neglect the care needed for a sliding sunroof. I have taken the extra step of painting the entire interior floor pan with five coats of POR15. It adds strength to the original metal, and will NEVER rust from the inside out. Ever. (See the last picture) if you have questions and would like to speak directly I am happy to give out my number.
