1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Description

Very nice driver+ quality 1974 Karmann Ghia. Of all the cars I've owned this one may be the one that brings more smiles and thumbs up than any other.
I love this car but I recently acquired another vintage roadster and something has to go to make room. Restored by prior owner about 20 years ago. The restoration included paint, rebuild on original engine and a refreshed interior. About 10,000 miles have been added since the restoration was completed. Not concours quality but will fit in very nicely at a local car show or Cars & Coffee. Always stored in a dry garage on a trickle charger when not used. Odometer says 42k miles but true miles unknown. Clean Virginia title with antique plates. An honest Ghia at a fair price.
Pans are solid (see photo's)
Good brakes (front disc and rear drums)
minor bubbling under the paint around lower fenders and headlight surrounds (see photo's) though nothing is coming through and more importantly it still looks exactly the same as when I bought it. As you can see in the photo's, these issues are only visible very close up.
In 2019: New battery, tune-up, oil change, new chrome tail pipes, new fuel filler hose
Glass and chrome is excellent
Great running engine with no oil leaks
Carpeted boot with spare and jack
working am/fm cassette radio with 6x9 built in speakers on rear deck lid
headliner is excellent.
Runs, drives and shifts as it should- a nice runner. Everything works but the odometer and clock.
Older tires have excellent tread, and very clean trim rings and wheel caps.
I have a small collection of classic cars but I'm more of a Volvo guy and not a VW expert. Happy to try and answer any questions if I can. Local inspections and test drives encouraged.
Drive it home or I can throw in a VW tow bar for "buy it now" buyers. The car is garaged within a few miles of the airport in Charlottesville, Va. Happy to assist with shipping and can recommend an excellent shipper if desired.
