1963 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe. Resto-mod sports car
1963 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia European Description
Started off in 2013 as a neglected project car when we purchased it. We had body work professionally done (body filler removed, dents pulled, new floor pans), gutted the interior, and added a new 1600cc engine. This car has disc brakes in the front, has been converted to 12 volts, and it has a nice alternator. Rust free car, new headliner, updated audio system, complete interior with custom matching rear seat to match the custom framed "baja" style seats. Mileage is to be determined, engine must have less than 20,000 miles. Replaced engine core two years ago. Transmission is in good shape, steering is relatively tight, brakes work well. This car is around 95% complete, if not more.Car runs fantastic and has been kept in a heated garage since its restoration. Being honest to save you the trouble of finding out later. This is a good buy based on my research, and seldom do you come across a Ghia in this condition. Paint is a 2015 Hyundai "champagne beige metallic". It goes without saying this car gets alot of attention, and usually wins best ghia and best moderate resto-mod at any show.
