1962 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

1962 Volkswagen Bus
NO RESERVE
Please only bid if you intend to pay. $500 deposit due within 48 hours and payment is due in full within 7 days. I can accept payment with cash in person, cashiers check, Zelle, or PayPal (fee paid by buyer). Now on to the details about the Bus...
This is a real German VW panel Bus. It needs complete restoration. I do not have a title but do have the M Plate for it and will write a bill of sale for the buyer. You are welcome to pick it up in person in Indianapolis, or I will work with whichever auto transport company you choose.
This is a good candidate to be brought back to life. As is common with old VW's it will need sheet metal work in the lower 6 inches. The front floor and left side cargo floor section and left frame rail under the cargo floor needs replaced. The right side rail and cargo floor is solid. The nose of the Bus is pretty solid with no dents but does have a crude 4 inch patch job in the upper section by a previous owner. The roof is solid as well as the entire drip rail. The rear corners will need replaced.
Winning bidder gets all the items pictured which include window frames, a front bumper, and 2 engines (one is locked and one turns freely...I'm not sure if either is original to the Bus). There are no seats/glass/keys. The paint is original. It rolls freely and the tires hold air just fine, so it will be easy to roll onto a trailer.
As mentioned this is a no reserve auction. Look at the asking prices for other original split window VWs and you'll see this is a very fair deal. I already have another project so am selling this one as I won't have time to get to it anytime soon...I'm hoping someone can give it some love and get it back on the road where it deserves to be! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
