1966 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Description

Type 14, early Karman-Ghia. Runs great, solid engine, good glass, interior. Priced below book for a pre-'67 Ghia. This is a running, licensed, drivable vehicle that is an excellent candidate for restoration. Very little exterior body rust, however the floor-pans under the back seat are rusted through and there is some rust in the engine compartment near the battery holder. This Ghia retains the original 6-V electrical system. Has the factory original 1295CC 4-cyl boxer.
Issues: all window gaskets are original, keyed ignitiion switch has issues and needs replacement (works sometimes, sometimes not), driver-side door sags. This car was originally yellow and was repainted black by a previous owner who made a mess of it. i.e. ... needs repainting. All of this is reflected in the price.
