This classic Bug convertible is mostly original with just the right amount of patina to give it a great feel. The interior is in excellent original condition. It has new floor pans and the running boards are in great original condition. The paint is mostly original Yukon Yellow, with some paint work on the fenders and hood, along with some other minor touch-ups. The top is older and is in very good condition. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. Mechanically: the engine runs strong, the 4 speed trans and clutch work well, the brakes feel correct with no pulling, the tires and the great looking Empi wheels are new, the exhaust has a good note to it. The original tools, jack and spare are in trunk.
For 1967, the Volkswagen Beetle received a slight boost in power. The horizontally opposed, overhead-cylinder engine displaced 91.1 cubic-inches and offered 53 horsepower. It had a four-speed manual transmission and hydraulic drum brakes in both the front and rear. Other changes for 1967 included backup lights, the parking lamps became part of the turn signals, and the glass headlamp covers were no longer installed. The doors were lockable, two-speed windshield wipers were added, and a 12-volt electrical system was installed.
This classic Beetle convertible is the perfect way to enjoy a trip for that cup of coffee and good weather fun driving.
