1972 Volkswagen Squareback Description

'72 VW Squareback project car.
This is a very good start for someone. The engine has been completely rebuilt. It was hot tanked and has all new internals, pistons, jugs, rebuilt heads, new dual carb conversion, new distributor, exhaust, new axles, new clutch, etc. The prior owner claimed the transmission had been rebuilt. I have no paperwork to prove it though. The car is really solid. The rockers and heater channels are in good shape. The floor pans are solid except for the area under the battery. That area has been patched over. There is also one small hole in the floor pan about two fingers fill it up. The engine starts and sounds great. It has been driven around the yard/block since being installed. It has good tires. The doors close good and solid. The gas tank was flushed of all the old crud.
What the car needs to be driveable: Clutch cable, the existing one is broken, it needs a tie rod end (new one included), It needs the brakes checked over. One of them is semi stuck. The insulation on the bottom side of the engine lid needs replaced. It is falling off. There is a new engine lid seal that needs to be installed as well.
What I know is wrong with the car: broken clutch cable, play in shifter, the dash is cracked under the carpet cover, the car is in rough gray primer. By rough I mean the primer is bumpy. I tested a small area and it will sand smooth. The car was orange originally. It is suffering from an identity crisis as of now. Someone painted the dash and other misc areas baby blue?? The windshield is fogged around the edge. All rubber stripping needs replaced. There is no headliner but the ribs are there. The door panels/rear seat panels are there but will need love. The drivers seat is weak. This is all I can think of. Keep in mind the age of the car there will be other small issues I am sure.
The car has fixed side windows. I am including a set of pop outs.
The car is located in Hiwassee, VA 24347. This is rural and back in the mountains. This is not accessible to pickup by tractor trailer. Standard pickup truck and trailer is of course fine. I can and will move it in to town for a tractor trailer pickup if you desire. I just need to know ahead of time. If you are coming in person to pick it up, you should use Radford,VA 24141 as your GPS destination and add 30 minutes to that time. Radford would also be the pickup destination if you use and auto shipper.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. I love the car. I am getting ready to build a house and I do not have the time to finish it. Payment is to be made in person if you are personally picking it up. Otherwise, I would prefer to be paid by bank transfer. It's simple to do and it does not have nearly the fee as a paypal transaction would.
