1979 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

Beautiful 1979 VW, last year for the Classic Slug Bug. I bought this car from the original owner in November 2011 to use as a "toad" behind our motorhome. Her parents had bought the car for her on her high school graduation in Beaverton Oregon and she used it until the day I bought it from her. I have all the receipts from her as well as everything I have had done, more to come. After we got it home and did all the work to it we felt it was to nice to drag behind our motorhome so we just drove it around. Since we have/had numerous vintage/Hot Rod cars it didn't get used to much(can only drive so many Classicsin North Idaho). Recently we decided to start selling off the cars and motorcycles and have actually gotten down to just this one left. What has been done recently is fuel injection tuned, new Empi rims and new tires, new carpet, seats covers(both), new seat belts, new top with liner, all new hoses and belts and complete motor out tune up, pan replaced and undercoated, original am/fm radio, everything works as should and drives and runs as good as ever. Car is not perfect, there is a few tiny rust bubbles on lower drivers door, as seen in pictures .Odometer shows 19873, and I know it has at least one roll over that. The windshield wipers sometimes come on by themselves(pulled fuse), Hooks VW says wiper motor, $200 fix. The interiorlight located by the center top windshield needs replaced/fixed. The hose leading from the spare to the wiper fluid bottle is there but has been broken. Really small stuff, this Bug is cute as hell and runs as should, still a old VW, going up hills are a bear, but it is what it is. We had this up for sale last year for $12,000 and then $10,000. Today it is set at a very reasonable lower reserve so be careful when bidding, you just might end up owning this car. Which wouldn't be a bad thing. Look at feedback from last car I sold, 1966 T-Bird new owner drove from here to Kentucky no problems at all. He added much better condition than expected. I also have 4 original rims with old tires mounted which come with the car. Also included custom California car cover.
