1976 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

I am offering for sale my 1976 westfalia camper/ bus/van. Barn Find! This is nice, complete vintage bus with most of its original paintwork intact. The bus was stored for many years until I discovered it, my understanding from the former owner was that it ran fine, but needed brakes when they parked it a few years ago. I cleaned the fuel system, rebuilt carburetors, and fuel lines, filters, etc. Replaced ignition parts, plugs, changed oil, replaced tires and got the brakes freed up and working, lubricated the chassis, all locks, hinges, handles, etc. The bus is now running very smoothly, but is being sold as a project and is not yet ready to be driven on the road. I found a machine that I want to work on more than this bus, here your chance.
The mileage stated 84,581, I have no idea if that is original, or if it's gone over. It appears to have spent some time being parked for extended periods. The body is in very nice condition for the age.
Air filters are included but not pictured, as I had sealed caps on it while tuning, etc. The upper canvas is shot and needs to be replaced. The front seats are saggy, not comfortable and the drivers door panel needs work, or replacement. Stock spare is included, camper plugs work, camper package is nearly complete, as pictured. Could use some attention to be perfect, or move in and use as is. Needs a inner cargo door handle and both knobs for opening the safari windows. Most lights worked as they should, will need some bulbs, and light cleaning, wiper motor works. Has dual weber carbs and working electric fuel pump.
The Oregon plate is included, but only on the van for display purposes and I am in no way implying the bus came from Oregon.
This bus runs, drives, barely stops as front pads are shot. Is not yet road legal, yard driven this week.Needs at minimum,to be road worthy, brakes all around, an engine compartment seal, cable work, tune up, rear marker lights installed, rear light work, a new battery, etc. The body is in good condition, with exception of some rust on the rocker areas as pictured. will need surface rust repair on parts of the lower body.
Does not include a title, as they are not issued in Vermont for vintage vehicles. The buyer will receive a signed Bill of sale.
This vehicle is being sold as is, where is, a project, not road legal. Buyer responsible for pick up from my location, 05826
It also has some rust on the inner passenger rocker panel.
