1986 Volvo 240 Wagon Manual Transmission
1986 Volvo 240 Description
Purchased this wagon to fix up, ut haven't gotten around to it in several months so I have decided to sell it. Starts, uns and drives just fine but does need work.
Body needs attention. Person before started with some bondo work on a couple patches on the side and filling roof rack holes, ut both need some more attention in my opinion and paint. There's also some collision damage on the rear driver's side wheel well. Not aesthetically terrible as-is but should be fixed. Interior is in alright shape and fabric looks to have been dyed black from the original brown.
Mechanically, he first thing that needs attention is some bearing whining happening at certain speeds. I've been told by one that it's an idler bearing and not a major project, ut I haven't gotten it formally diagnosed by a professional. Doesn't hinder performance of the car. Car could also use some fresh bushings in the steering, ut drives well as is. It has stock springs on it now, ut I also have cut IPD springs that came with the car that I'll include. Also has upgrade alloy wheels from a 940. Tires could use replacing down the road. Other than that, eems to run well and I wish I was in the position to restore it right now. All manual windows work, adio works. Odomoter is stuck just short of 200K, o I don't know the exact mileage. All lights, linkers, ipers, tc, ork well. Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures/video, tc... Thanks!
