1992 Volvo 240 Wagon black super clean
1992 Volvo 240 Description
This auction is for an extremely nice 1992 Volvo 240 wagon in black. It is likely the nicest 240 wagon available for sale right now. It runs and drives as though it were a new car, I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. It shows 72,992 original miles (it may go up a few miles before the end of the auction, but not much) The car is totally solid and rust free. The car has it's original black paint job, in excellent condition. There are several very small rock chips and small scratches in the finish, as to be expected on a car of this age. The hood has a few areas of checking, but nothing bad, overall the paint is in amazing condition for a 25 year old car with original paint. It has never been in an accident and there is no damage. There is some residue left from the pin stripe decal that I removed. I have some bug and tar remover that works great for taking the remaining residue off that I can include, I just haven't had the time to finish the job myself (newborn baby and toddler at home) These exterior imperfections are minor and the paint shines like Darth Vader's helmet. This car gets compliments every time it goes out. The engine bay is very clean as well. All lights and signals work, the headlight lenses are still clear, they're not yellowing. Wipers work. It has cruise control (kind of rare on 240s) that also works. The blower works great, blows hot and the air conditioning works. It was charged last summer and converted to R134a. The radio is an aftermarket Sony model with a CD player. It also has an iPod input. The speakers are aftermarket Alpine units that are the same size as the speakers that came with the car. The horn and wipers work great. The interior is in great condition. The driver's seat has a few cracks. There is a small crack in the dash (in the usual 240 place). The interior door handle casing is missing on the front driver side and rear passenger right side doors. I do have one casing and trim ring that I will include with the car, I haven't had a chance to put it on yet. The original spare tire, tool kit and jack are with the car. The original owners manual is also included. I have the Volvo dog dish hub caps on the car because I think they look good. Those and the plastic wheel covers that came with the car are included. The suspension has been lowered slightly with an IPD spring kit, this was installed about a year ago. Last month the car got new front struts. I have the original window sticker for this car, stating that MSRP was $22,528. I have many maintenance receipts from the time I've owned it, as well as from the previous owner, going back to early 2010. I bought this car in 2013 with 59,900 miles. This car lived in Florida from the time it was new until early 2010. It has been a pleasure to own it and I'm honestly not excited to let it go. However with two little ones it just sits in the garage and I just don't get time to drive it, so it's time to let it go to someone who can appreciate it. I have a clear title. The car is available for inspection in Des Moines, Iowa if you or someone you trust would like to see the car. I would be happy to assist in loading the car for transport, or picking you up from the airport if you'd like to fly in and drive the car home. Payments must be cleared before the car is picked up. I prefer cash or a cashier's check. I will require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction's end, the deposit can be done with Paypal. If I do not receive a deposit within 24 hours, I reserve the right to relist the auction. Check out the photos, this is one of the cleanest 240 wagons you could hope to find. It is super clean and runs like a top. Please feel free to ask any questions. If you need better photos, I can email you higher resolution images.
