1979 Volvo 240 245 Description

1979 Volvo 245 Wagon, manual 4 speed w/over drive. This car has been in the same family since new. Was a California car until 2006 when it came to Virginia. In good drivable original condition. Good tires, you can drive this home. Speedometer shows 270k or so but is broken as many of these are. Previous owner stated the engine was swapped with a newer one with less mileage and has approximately 170k as of now. Clutch replaced about 10k miles ago. Engine runs strong and overdrive works as it should. Being a California car, rust is not really an issue however there is some bubbling of paint at the base of the rear side window on the drivers side. There are also some hail dings on the hood but this car was never a show car. Typical Volvo leaks around the windshield but nothing too extreme. New windshield rubber could be needed. Gas gauge was working, now it may not be - could be just low on gas. I don't drive this vehicle daily. Overall a solid collectible Volvo with many years of life left in it!
