VOLVO 240 WAGON - No Reserve Sale
1992 Volvo 240 Wagon Description
This has been my daily driver for the seasonal months I spend in FL, she was driven mostly on Rt 1 between Stuart and PBG, I bough the car in 2014 and had extensive work done on the suspension and engine to make her dependable.
It should make someone a good daily driver especially if they know vintage Volvos
The GOOD Things:1.) Engine starts first turn even if she's been sitting for a while2.) Garage kept all summer3. ) New Battery in 20164.) two new ties in 2017 two new in 20145.) New windshield in 20146.) Transmission full service in 2017/ shifts smoothly7.) alignment done in 2017 so she drives straight as an arrow8.) little to no rust on under-body and frame9.) Great stereo with USB port wired for Sirius Radio with radio dock10.) Owners Manual included
And the issues:1.) The dash instruments, odometer and dash lights have not worked since 240K miles in 2014, I drive 60 miles to work about 4 days a week for 1/2 the year so thinking I added 30K to get to the 270K estimate.2.) the roof and hood paint have sun bleaching3.) there is a strange short in the automatic door locks, so when I park the car I remove the fuse and when I drive it I replace the fuse ( if you know how to fix Volvo electrical quirks it would be useful)4.) cosmetically the interior is well used5.) I've been using a GPS a my speedometer/ I'll include it, but it's been finicky of late
